Bottom line: The US economy is not really built for competitiveness.
Instead, it is built to create and perpetuate functional monopolies.
Tariffs are the end result. It is a regressive step toward protection and isolation --- not expansion.
Unfortunately, China is on track to basically own international trade. Better start teaching your kids to speak Mandarin.
