The "Tin Can" solution promoted in the article is not a landline
It requires an internet connection and use of WiFI (no Ethernet)
Not only that, it requires an "app", i.e., a "smartphone", the very thing that it purports to avoid
This Tin Can gimmick is using the internet to make calls yet cannot make international ones outside of US/Canada
