Author here. I've used KDBX as my primary password store for coming on 5 years now. Although I believe it is the current best local solution, I've had to deal with lots of minor issues that other password managers just don't have. I wrote this article to try to consolidate the major pain points, and to explain how an SQLite backend would alleviate them.
